While the baccalaureate ceremony is traditionally a Christian service, this year’s event will feature representatives from many different religious backgrounds. Rabbi Josh Feigelson will give the invocation, Muslim chaplain Tahera Ahmad will give the benediction and students of will read excerpts they have chosen from various religious texts. A team of six students in a McCormick class designed an iPhone and Android app that allows users to get digital coupons for Evanston businesses. The app, which is free, lets users browse stores by name or category, view promotions and locate each business with the included phone number and map. We’ve got the full story here.
Fans rejoiced as the Wildcats ended their 349-day NCAA tournament drought
The lacrosse team demolished Albany Saturday, defeating the previously undefeated Great Danes 18-4. The ‘Cats will head to the NCAA semifinals on Friday to take on third-ranked North Carolina. Head over to The Daily for more.
Senators will now be elected based on knowledge of eighteenth-century poetry, beer pong skills
After months of debate, ASG senate unanimously passed a restructuring bill that will change the way many senators are elected and increase their accountability. While the legislation originally called for the number of senators to be reduced to 34, it was amended on the senate floor to keep the number at 51. We’ve got more right here.
