Hayden James is the final mainstage Dillo artist

Mayfest announced singer, songwriter and producer Hayden James as the final Dillo Day artist Sunday evening, so we can now embrace the entire mainstage lineup.

James, whose music is generally classified under the house genre, rose to popularity fairly recently following the June 2013 release of his single “Permission to Love.” The artist’s calming, yet catchy tunes have been especially popular in his home country of Australia and in Europe, where his hit single "Something About You” made the top 40 throughout the continent. He has appeared in the lineup of several globally recognized music festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, and has accompanied ODESZA on tour.

“We were really excited about him because he has one huge song right now, which is really great, but I think that his performance will create greater fans to kind of see where his projected rise goes,” said Yumiko Mannarelli, Mayfest director of concerts. “He is a really huge up-and-coming name that will bring a lot of energy to Dillo Day.”

Mannarelli also confirmed the final order of Dillo Day’s mainstage artists: Battle of the Bands, The Mowgli’s, Anderson Paak and The Free Nationals, Hayden James, Battle of the DJs, Cashmere Cat and ScHoolboy Q.

Dillo Day occurs Saturday, May 21.
