The Daily Northwestern says dorms will have wireless next school year: That’s only six years after it was first recommended.
Northwestern will hold undergraduate classes in a wholly different time zone for the first time next fall, and to celebrate, Northwestern Qatar held a reception for its newly accepted guinea pig students.
Back up 12 time zones in the other direction: one Alaska’s winningest high school swimmers in history will join up with Northwestern women’s swimming in the fall. Believe it or not, Meghan Cavanaugh isn’t the first Alaskan swimming sensation to grace our shores. Alaska’s outstanding high school swimmer of 2005 and 2006 signed on with the men’s team last year. Kyle O’Brien managed a second-place finish in one race this past season at Northwestern, albeit in a meet against Carthage and Olivet.
Enough of the far-away future: Today, students can vote in ASG elections. Voting is online on NUlink between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The races for the three vice president positions should be decided, but unless one of the five presidential candidates wins a majority of the votes, it will go to a run-off vote on Thursday.
After voting ends, the “conversation” with Andy Samberg, Saturday Night Live star, begins at Ryan Auditorium in Tech at 8 p.m.
