NU in 60 Seconds: April 14
By

You may have had a tough time balancing the return of TV shows, human rights speakers, debates and concerts Thursday night, but the prize for best juggling act goes to doctors at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, who transplanted four kidneys at the same time in a “domino paired kidney exchange” last week.

Feinberg interns weren’t the only ones sweating it out, as Northwestern’s #1 women’s lacrosse team eeked by Penn State 13-12 to keep its winning streak alive. The Nittany Lions were a mere 3-8 heading into the game, so surely Hilary Bowen and co. breathed a nice sigh of relief afterwards.

Angsty sighs of Evanston youths might become more prevalent soon, as the City Council plans to impose earlier curfew hours for young Evanstonians. If the vote passes on April 28, weekend Burger King forays will be for the 18+ crowd after 11 p.m.

Feeling jittery after the student robberies from these past weeks? Before you think that student safety is degenerating into nothingness, know that Evanston’s crime rate went down in 2007, though the number of assaults did go up.
