    Rest of campus steels itself for record number of donation solicitations
    More than 1,300 prospective dancers signed up for Dance Marathon, a record-breaking number. This comes on the heels of DM’s Most Influential College Organization award. We’ve got the full story right here.

    Week in Review’s application to study on Alderaan was denied for logistical reasons
    Twenty-seven Northwestern students received Fulbright scholarships for the 2011-2012 cycle – the second-highest number in the country this year. NU has been among the top 10 Fulbright producers for the past five years. Head over to our copilots at The Daily Northwestern for more.

    Obama also appoints Professor Bailey to head committee on year-old jokes
    President Obama tapped Northwestern professor Larry Hedges to be a key member of the National Board for Education Sciences. Pending confirmation from the United States Senate, will be one of 15 voting members on Obama's educational advisory board. We’ve got the whole thing here.

    Conference-goers rounded out the event with a night at the Keg of Evanston
    A two-day conference organized by The Dartmouth Learning Collaborative on High-Risk Drinking brought experts to Norris to discuss alcohol issues on campuses across the country. The Daily has the full story right here.

    Skokie Police won too, but opted for the mystery box instead
    Evanston's police department won a new car at the International Association of Chiefs of Police awards ceremony in Chicago. The city was one of 10 communities honored for departments with outstanding traffic enforcement efforts. For more, check out Evanston Now.
