Kermit the Frog always seemed a little melancholy, especially when he sang “Rainbow Connection.” But the amphibious puppet never came off this emo. We’ve featured sad Kermit before, but he’s starred in a whole lot more videos than I thought. His latest work is a cover of Elliott Smith’s “Needle in the Hay.” Check out the depression below.
In case you were curious, the whole video references this scene from Wes Anderson’s best film. Just because it’s so cloudy outside, let’s throw a few more sad Kermit videos in. How about a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” featuring Fozzie Bear?
Feeling down? This will cheer you up. Or maybe make you want to loot something. I don’t know.
