Mayfest unveils new two-wristband Dillo policy
By

Mayfest released the details of this year’s Dillo Day security measures Tuesday.

The biggest change since last year’s policy is the introduction of a two-wristband system. One type of wristband will be given to Northwestern students and other guests who are 19 years old or older. The second type of wristband will be given to guests younger than 19 who are either guests of Northwestern students or chaperoned by an adult 25 years or older. This second type of wristband will include a serial code linking to the wristband of their chaperone, who is required to stay with their registered guests.

Northwestern students must preregister their guests beforehand through the Division of Student Affairs. Other guests will be able to register with their chaperone or with a valid state ID on the day of the event, though they are encouraged to preregister regardless. Both Northwestern students and adults 25 years or older are allowed to register up to four guests, though students may only register up to two guests younger than 19.

There will be three entrances on Dillo Day: at the James L. Allen Center, at SPAC and near the southern end of the Lakefill. Unregistered guests must enter at the Allen Center entrance.
