Get hyped up for Dillo Day at Mayfest’s Battle of the Bands. The event will be held at Nevin’s Pub on Thursday May 19th and Friday May 20th from 9p.m. to midnight with a $5 cover each night.

Each band will play a short set of about four songs each. At the end of the second night, guest judges will choose a winner to open for Dillo Day. More details, including a specific schedule, bios of the bands, and the chosen judges, will soon be up on dilloday.com.
“Because the Battle of the Bands is so close to Dillo Day, it’s kind of like that final event leading up to it,” said Communications senior Stefanie Goliszewski, Mayfest Promotions committee member. “People are going to be getting into the Dillo Day spirit… This is an event that people will want to be at.”
Goliszewski also added that Dillo Day merch will be sold and hinted that the event will be “very informative.”
