For freshmen activation week, Northwestern’s Evans Scholars painted the rock with the colors of the organization. The purpose is to create awareness about the organization, said Weinberg freshman Matt Sachaj.
The Evans Scholars Foundation gives full ride scholarships and house grants to deserving caddies. It is the largest privately-funded scholarship program in the nation.
“If you see people walking around with golf clubs, that’s us,” said McCormick freshman James Jackson.
