Northwestern DM is one of 25 student organizations that were named finalists for the “Most Influential College Student or College Organization” category in the third annual Classy Awards.
The awards are put on by StayClassy, a philanthropy organization that runs a fundraising and communication platform for nonprofits.
The 10 organizations that get the most votes will move on to the finals, where a group of judges will decide on a winner. The victor will receive $10,000 toward its charity in a nationally broadcasted ceremony.
“By voting for DM, NU students will make a statement about campus unity and our student body’s commitment to helping others,” said Executive Co-Chair Kunal Joshi, a Weinberg senior. “If we are crowned the winners, we’ll have showcased to the nation the very best of Northwestern and, in the process, continued our fight against childhood cancer”
Students can vote at the Classy Awards website until Aug. 26.
