Natasha Lyonne speaks at Northwestern
The “Orange is the New Black” actress was brought in as NU Hillel's winter speaker Friday to discuss her career path and her Jewish identity. Lyonne plays the character Nicky Nichols on the show.
Panel discussion addresses misconceptions around Northwestern’s drug policy
Students for Sensible Drug Policy held a panel discussion to dispel misconceptions regarding Northwestern’s drug policy. The panel consisted of University Police Sergeant Steve Stoeckl, Evanston police officer Scott Sengenberger and Tara Sullivan, director of student conduct and conflict resolution. The discussion covered topics like the Responsible Action Protocol and the issue of privacy in student housing.
Sex restrictions removed from overnight guest policy
Students will now be able to host guests of any sex in Northwestern housing. Before this change, regulations stipulated that overnight guests be the same sex as the resident. Guests will be able to stay for up to three consecutive nights under the new rule.
Northwestern makes Peace Corps “Top Colleges” list
Northwestern ranked 19th on the 2015 list after 14 2014 graduates joined the Peace Corps. This is a return for Northwestern after not being ranked last year.
