I still remember the day I found out the person who voiced Bart Simpson was actually a woman. Caught me really off guard. Older and wiser, I now expect squeky-sounding cartoon characters to be helmed by female voice actors. But I didn’t see this one coming. I always thought the voice of Pickachu was created via some sort of caged imp, or maybe a baby hopped up on Ritalin. Nope. Turns out the electric rat is voiced by a Japanese woman.
