Northwestern has chosen a search committee to choose the next dean of Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, according to a University press release from today. The chosen candidate will succeed Dean Sarah Mangelsdorf, who will leave Northwestern in August to become the Provost at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Professor Wendy Wall will chair the committee, which includes faculty, staff, student and WCAS Board of Visitors representatives.

According to the release, the committee will first deliberate about internal candidates this spring and then open it up for a national search in the fall. They are now soliciting nominations from Northwestern faculty.

Celina Flowers, Project Coordinator, and Jake Julia, Associate Vice President and Associate Provost for Academic Initiatives, will staff the committee.
