Weinberg sophomore Ben Sanders defeated a field of nine to win Thursday’s pie-eating contest at the Rock, scarfing down half a pie within a few minutes.
Sanders is a candidate for Homecoming royalty, and the contest is sponsored by the Northwestern Class Alliance as part of Homecoming 2007.
Asked after the first round whether how the the pie tasted, Sanders replied, “Delicious — it’s pie!”
