Northwestern partners with CTA to provide free bus rides for No. 201 route
By

Beginning this year, Northwestern University students, faculty, staff and others with University identification will be able to ride the CTA’s No. 201 bus to campus and other Evanston locations free of charge.

The free bus service will replace the Ryan Field Shuttle, as its route covers a wider range, including the distance from the CTA Howard stop to Northwestern's campus. Popular stops include Ryan Field, the Evanston business district and the Westfield Old Orchard shopping mall in Skokie.

Free rides are only applicable during the school year, and the University will reimburse the CTA for the $2 fare that Northwestern affiliates can now surpass.

    The No. 201 route is provided weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
