The revamped Newswriting has been disorganized to say the least. We don’t have good maps of the area. The Rogers Park storefront is 13 blocks north of the Edgewater area it’s supposed to serve. And who knows what the final stories will be about.
I’m glad Medill wants us to talk to actual people and try multimedia along the way. But they could have organized it so we’re actually learning something from each 3-hour class.
And I know the $100 deposit and other equipment requirements have rankled a lot of people, as well as the money to keep riding the L.
So all you Medill sophomores, what do you think of the new Newswriting?
