Filmmaker and writer square off on the best ways to tell a story
By ,

NU writer-in-residence Alex Kotlowitz and documentary filmmaker Steve James talked Tuesday afternoon about the differences between print and film. Kotlowitz has written noted works such as There Are No Children Here, about a “a violence-ridden public housing project,” while James helped produce the Iraq War documentary The War Tapes.

The conversation was sponsored by the Center for the Writing Arts, and drew about 40 people to Harris 108.
