In honor of the Hallmark-approved holiday known as Valentine’s Day, here’s a very loving edition of Netplay. At first glance, this video may seem sorta tepid. I mean, what’s exciting about a bunch of fast-food screens and some guy asking questions? Well, this clip is suprisingly deep; how often do you consider the voice on the other end of the Burger King box as an actual person and not some grease-laden food gathering drone? There’s something strangely fascinating about this clip, or maybe I just love the idea that even these little squares sitting outside a Wendy’s can articulate just as much emotion as me. Consider it the poor man’s “All is Full of Love Video,” with Special Sauce oozing out of the robots instead of milk.
