It has been a while since I’ve found an Internet game capable of taking over my entire life (especially during Spring Quarter midterm season), but then came TypeRacer. The concept sounds simple enough: you race against other players from around the world by typing out a quote or a song lyric or whatever as fast as you can. But I can’t stop playing what amounts to a low-budget Mavis Beacon. Most importantly, you learn something as you play: you have to become a better typist if you don’t want to finish last against some pretty crazy folk.
