The bands Cheers Elephant and Magic Man will be performing at this weekend’s Benefit 2014 concert, A&O and Dance Marathon announced in a press release. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Dance Marathon.

The concert will open with Magic Man at 2 p.m. on Saturday on Norris East Lawn. The headliner Cheers Elephant will follow. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.

Cheers Elephant is an indie pop-rock quartet originally from Philadelphia and now based in Southern California. Their song “Leaves” reached number four on Hype Machine. Their live shows are "something close to the devil, God or cocaine," according to the press release.

Magic Man is a synth-rock band and was formed in 2009. Originally a duo, there are now five members. They self-produced their debut album Real Life Color and released it in 2010. According to the press release, they released a new EP in September 2013, and they plan to release another album soon.

Admission is free, though a $5 donation is suggested. Donors will receive a concert poster, and attendees can purchase the poster for $3.
