I got 99 Problems, but the Nextel Cup ain't one

In a move just as shocking as Lance Bass revealing he’s gay, Jay-Z is officially out of “retirement” with “Show Me What You Got,” lead single off the forthcoming Kingdom Come album.  Muscially, Jigga’s latest is ho-hum; the 007-style sax beat is pretty neat, but this is JAY-Z we are talking about, not Chingy.  Plus, Jay’s flow isn’t nearly as intense as it once was; his guest appearance on Young Jeezy’s
“Go Crazy” had more lyrical fire than any verse on “Show Me.”  It’s a decent song, but nothing spectacular for a guy who has changed the face of rap over his career.

The video, on the other hand, is just mind-boggling; for over four-minutes, viewers are treated to shots of Hova driving around Monaco in a car and a boat, and then doing his best Casino Royale by playing cards with some very busty video babes.  So, it’s a boring video, but it does include the most un-urban cameos ever; Jay races against Danica Patrick (who is still milking the fact she both drives a car and has a vagina, even though she has done jack-nothing in the sport) alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr.  I can’t wait for T.I.’s next video, where he plays a high-stakes game of hockey with Jose Theodore.

Ah, who am I kidding.  You get to see Jay-Z make figure eights in a boat.
