A man burglarized a student’s apartment on the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, Northwestern said on its Web site.
The student told Evanston police that she saw a man standing in her bedroom doorway when she awoke around 12:30 p.m. The man directed her to move to the bathroom, and then sealed the door shut using an electrical cord. The student escaped unharmed, but she and her roommates reported items missing from the apartment.
When contacted Tuesday evening, Evanston and Northwestern police said they were unable to provide more information about the case.
