Northwestern wrestling finished their final weekend of the Big Ten wrestling season with two wins, which gives them momentum to finish strong at their last match left before the postseason.
The weekend started with a 24-16 win at No. 22 Purdue Friday night. Northwestern started the night slow with two losses in the first two matches but a pin by Zack Chakonis (197) in the third match of the night tied the score. A win by technical fall by Ryan Deakin (149) and a pin by Shayne Oster (157) late in the meet sealed a victory for the Wildcats.
