Women's tennis hosts Wildcat Invite to open fall season

Northwestern women’s tennis hosted the Wildcat Invite this weekend at the Combe Tennis Center. Players representing schools from all around the Midwest (including Iowa, Notre Dame, Wisconsin) came to the Evanston to face off in a bracket-style tournament. In addition to the tennis players, fans descended on Evanston to cheer on their respective schools.

The three-day event began on Friday and concluded on Sunday. with a final round of singles matches. Northwestern won three of their five matches. Junior Alex Chatt, redshirt sophomore Rheeya Doshi and redshirt junior Maddie Lipp, who also won a game on Saturday, were able to clinch wins for Northwestern.

Northwestern's women’s tennis team will continue their season at the ITA All-American Tennis Championships in Riviera, California.
