Weinberg sophomore Daniel Jessell was found deceased on Wednesday, Dean of Students Todd Adams announced in an email sent to students.
Jessell was from Delray Beach, Florida and lived in Kemper Hall, the email said. The cause of his death was not immediately known, and an autopsy is scheduled for this Thursday afternoon, according to the Chicago Tribune.
"I am deeply saddened by this news," Adams said in the email. "We are a community that supports one another, and we need to take care of ourselves and also each other. In times such as this, I am grateful to be a part of our Wildcat family."
