It’s Thursday morning, far enough into the week where your supply of clean clothes has taken a hit, but too soon for you to be forced to lug that heavy hamper down three long flights of stairs to do laundry (unless you’re one of those lucky Elder kids who have the luxury of a functioning elevator). As Northwestern students, we are surrounded by the latest fashions at stores such as Urban Outfitters, American Apparel and now, the long-awaited Topshop. On a college student’s budget, you don’t always have the finances to shell out the big bucks or the time to hunt around at Crossroads for a trendy new outfit. Luckily, there are ways to get your style fix and still have enough money for late night BK runs.
In our first outfit, you can hover over the various Topshop articles of clothing to see their prices. Then, below that, see your cheaper and comparable options.
At the end, you will save $176.31 and as a poor college student, just imagine what you could do with that money. You could buy 352 cups of Easy Mac (at about $0.50 per cup) for those horrible late night munchies. Or you could invest it or put it in a savings account. Or you could buy 176 cups of hot chocolate from the library vending machines on the second floor. Go crazy.
