The inspirations behind the Dittmar senior art exhibit
By

The senior art show, which displays the art of seniors in Northwestern’s art program, is now on display at the Dittmar Memorial Gallery, in Norris University Center. The small collection of art features pieces done by 15 senior artists. The actual pieces range from classic visual art, like watercolors and pencil sketches to more bold examples, like green grass made of tape that crawls up the wall and a glittered bowl of fruit. There are oil paint cartoons and a Warhol inspired customized Ford. Some pieces jump out at you, while others bring you in close. Of the 15 on display, three of the seniors, Yana Myaskovskaya, Jillian Putnam, and Renee Calvert, told the stories of one of their pieces.
