Music and conversation filled the air in the Louis Room on Oct. 4, signaling the start of the Taiwanese Night Market. The market, put on every year by the Taiwanese American Student Club (TASC), is based on actual night markets in Taiwan. According to TASC president Austen Bhayani, the event helps to make students aware of TASC as an organization and recruit new members, and to bring some Taiwanese culture in to everyday students’ lives. TASC would like to invite all students – regardless of ethnicity – to join them in celebrating Taiwanese heritage and traditions in a fun atmosphere.
