SASA dresses Rock for "Graduation"
By

Members of the South Asian Student Alliance (SASA) painted the Rock Wednesday night to advertise their annual show, which is slated for Saturday, Feb. 3.

The show, whose theme this year will be "graduation," is set for 7 p.m. at Cahn Auditorium and will feature performances from 11 cultural groups on campus including Anubhav, Brown Sugar and NU Bhangra.

SASA serves as a unifying body for South Asian students on campus as well as a promoter of South Asian culture, holding events and inviting speakers year-round to spread its cause.

"In college most people come from different backgrounds, so there are a lot of cultures that most people don't know about," said Weinberg sophomore Anisha Arora, the cultural chair of SASA, who helped guard the Rock Tuesday night. "We want to show our culture to everyone and spread open-mindedness to as many people as we can, and that's what the show is all about."

Tickets for the SASA show are available at the Norris Box Office.
