The 2010 Northwestern Ski Trip (NU Ski Trip) will be held at Copper Mountain, the executive board announced Thursday night. The Colorado resort, located 75 miles from Denver, will host students this winter Dec. 11 to 17.
“They have records for the most snowfalls in the early season. It’s a top priority for us with Ski Trip so early in the season,” said NU Ski Trip event chairman Emily Arbuckle.
The NU Ski Trip executive board members took students’ feedback into account when planning this year’s trip. “First and foremost, the resort wants us to be there,” said Arbuckle, in response to students’ complaints that past resort employees appeared unhappy about the student presence.
Northwestern skiers and snowboarders can expect a music performance during the trip, although the artist has not been announced. Tickets go on sale Oct. 11 at the Norris Box Office, online and in person.
