Chicago lawyer and marijuana advocate Peter Vilkelis will speak tomorrow (February 1) about issues surrounding the legalization of marijuana. Vilkelis will discuss why marijuana should be legal, its dangers and benefits, who is being hurt and the future of reform.
The event is being sponsored by Northwestern NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), a campus chapter of a national lobbyist organization. Vilkelis is on the board of directors of NORML and founded a chapter when he was a student at the University of Illinois.
