"Understanding what you don’t know is how you can move forward and make new discoveries. Be comfortable with not knowing. Let go of those feelings. Always speak up when you don’t know something. Embrace the unknown."

    About the professor

Professor Norman Wickett sits in his 6th floor office in the Hogan building after giving some of his words of wisdom. Wickett is a lecturer in the Program of Biological Sciences and in Plant Biology and Conservation. He has collaborated with 44 co-authors to publish eight different publications. When not teaching, he does research and works with the Chicago Botanical Garden.
