American Apparel has done well this episode. Sam’s one-man-band-turned-boy-band “The Justin Experience” went all out, with brand-less solid color sweatshirts (with white zippers) and purple high-tops. And turned the girls into teeny boppers.
Sue is depressed, so Emma (in her one-minute appearance) suggests that she joins glee club. At first angry, Sue finally perks up when Will shows her the power of music at a pediatric ward in the hospital (which may make you cry, by the way). But once she realizes that trying to sabotage the club from within won’t work, she needs to get creative. Quinn lies to Sam about Finn, but Santana butts in with some new information. Brittany is now a trendsetter, but only dresses the way she does because Rachel pays her so she can have a comeback. A comeback that might involve a diva-off with Mercedes too. Lauren sings solo in glee club with the help of Puck and the dancing skills of Tina and Brittany. She’s a bit awkward, and then starts dancing a little too inappropriately once she gets the hang of it. Still, the underwear she pictures everyone wearing is pretty funny (Finn wears a Power Rangers shirt).
High notes:
Love how Mercedes and Rachel are the same height-made the diva-off easier to watch visually.
Sue’s plaid track suit.
Santana: “I look hot and smart. I feel like Michelle Obama.”
Sam tries on his Justin Bieber idea at bat mitzvahs. Oh dear.
Low notes:
Few “money” notes in the diva-off.
Will saying “kick-butt?”
Sue’s now in charge of Aural Intensity — so another sabotage from her. What a surprise.
