From the Energy Day NU website:
“Energy Day @ NU brings together leaders in the business, academic, and public sectors to discuss how they are addressing the pressing energy and environmental issues facing the world. Through a combination of presentations, panel discussions, and poster sessions, Energy Day @ NU will serve as a forum through which ideas can be shared across boundaries. The goal is to increase public awareness of sustainability in practice and to empower attendees to tackle these complex issues.
Each year, Energy Day @ NU attracts a diverse audience. Attendees include students and professors from Chicago-area universities; professionals from industry, government, and non-profit organizations; and concerned citizens in the Chicago community.
This year’s conference will cover a spectrum of topics, including renewable energy, sustainable architecture, product lifecycle design, entrepreneurship, and energy policy. Speakers include directors at Argonne National Laboratory, Motorola, Xcel Energy, BP, UrbanLab, Zoka Zola Architecture, Superna Energy, and Sun Ovens. Come and learn more about current sustainability efforts around Chicago and network with leaders in sustainability during the sustainability fair. Admission is free and lunch is provided.”
