Freshman from the fourth floor of Elder kicked off their Northwestern careers by Rockin’ it.

“We wanted the whole school to see our 4th Floor Elder Pride as well as our newly acquired respect, friendship, and trust in each other,” said Sandeep Kini, a freshman economics major who helped organize the painting.

Along with “E4 Elder 2010,” the group also painted each of their initials and wrote “Respect Your Elder,” “Freshman Quad,” and “It’s Good to Be on Top” on the benches.

“Our main goal in painting the rock was to make our floor stand out from all the other,” said Matthew Ivy, who came up with the idea. “The message we were trying to get out is simply that we are E4 and were better than all the rest. Every member of our floor was involved.”
