Could Colleen Green be the next Dillo Day artist? We hope so.

It's time to "Pay Attention:" Colleen Green could be on the Lakefill for this year's Dillo Day.

The 31-year-old indie pop punk musician has released three albums, including last year's critically acclaimed I Want To Grow Up. While that's a sentiment many Northwestern students may shy away from (at least those about to graduate), her catchy, acerbic lyrics should jibe perfectly with our Millenial sensibilities.

While her appearance at Northwestern's annual music festival has yet to be confirmed by Mayfest organizers, signs from her Facebook page and Bands In Town profile indicate a performance at Northwestern University corresponding with Saturday, May 21, aka Dillo Day.

Green has been praised for her "elegantly wry, acerbic, hooky pop style" by Pitchfork, who also described her work as "breezy, self-aware stoner bubblegum." Discussing I Want To Grow Up, Green described her struggles with an addictive personality, telling Stereogum, " I know that I have kind of an addictive personality and that I definitely do a lot of things that are bad for me on a daily basis." She's channeled these energies into songs like "TV" and "Things That Are Bad For Me," which capture the struggles and challenges of addiction of all kinds that people deal with on a daily basis.

Update 5/18: Yup, Colleen Green is gonna play Dillo.
