Do you want to be on TV? Of course you do. Well, lucky future celebrity, your big break has come.
Casting agents will allegedly be at Norris on Monday looking for potential participants in a new reality show that the CW Network is introducing. From the makers of America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway, the show will be hosted by Tyra Banks.
The as-yet untitled show will be a competition between aspiring young fashion journalists vying for an editorial position at a prestigious fashion magazine. Cue the rejoicing Medill fashionistas! Fans of The Devil Wears Prada, this is right up your alley. Best of all, the casting call assures that there is “no experience necessary” to audition (non-Medillians welcome), and “style, intelligence and a great work ethic are a must,” which is probably show-biz code for “Omarosa-like qualities are a must.” Sounds like the perfect kind of drama-ridden cutthroat competition Northwestern students (especially Medildos) love.
So get on your couture, slap on your best reality TV personality and wait for the tide of stardom to carry you to the top of the fashion world. Or at least to a good 15 minutes of publicity that might lead to a nice memoir or mediocre album.
