As we speak
By

    Your voice
    quavers like a
    flake of peeling paint.
    With each exhalation,
    dull, moistened
    speckles and spots
    are revealed in tender
    agony. Aching as the
    bare light bulb
    infiltrates with florescent
    life; it bleeds you. Using
    light fingertip touches to
    brush away rotting hues,
    old colors come pouring out.
