Centro Romero educates Latina women on domestic violence
By ,

Northwestern’s North side neighbor, Rogers Park, is home to Centro Romero, an organization for Latino immigrants. They began by tackling issues like adult English education, legal assistance and youth learning and leadership development. But after seeing Latina women attending programs with black eyes, they began a woman’s program for domestic violence. See one woman’s struggle and empowerment through education of her rights.
