NU alumnus Seth Meyers cheered on the dancers his support from the Late Night with Seth Meyers set. The former SNL star has stayed consistently involved with his alma mater, performing stand-up comedy on campus in 2007 and serving as Homecoming Grand Marshall in 2010. Didn't know that? Here are some more interesting tidbits from DM Block 9's celebrity supporter.
1. Meyers was a member of the Phi Delta Gamma fraternity during his time at NU.
2. He won the third season of Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2004, knocking out fellow SNL cast member Amy Poehler in the process.
3. He attended the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner and cracked a joke about Osama Bin Laden. Little did he know, the President had given the order to raid the Bin Laden compound the previous day.
4. His first appearance on SNL was the first show after 9/11.
5. A big fan of comics, Meyers wrote a Spider-Man arc with Bill Hader called The Short Halloween.
