Habitat for Humanity asked Rock-goers to help “raise the roof.”
“We painted the Rock so everyone could see what we’re about and so we could sell bracelets to raise money,” said Jonathan Chou, Communications sophomore and Habitat for Humanity member. Habitat pledged $3000 to work at build sites this year and the group is selling orange Livestrong-style bracelets for $2 to raise money and awareness.
Projects include building and maintenance work and usually occur every other Saturday, said Chou. The first project, which involves gardening and painting, will be help on October 7.
