Ever want a giant wooden robot costume that doesn’t do anything at all? Looks like we’re in the same boat! Me too!
Mike Rea, a Chicago native, loves his wood. Using cheap materials, Rea creates giant wooden sculptures out of whatever comes to his mind. Seriously, he just starts building without any formal, drawn-out plans. Amazing.
“When I started,” says Rea, “I built everything in an apartment I had in Chicago. Things became cramped very quickly. I had to put my bed in a closet.” Now, that’s dedication. If only Lavine had that much dedication in finding his sources, the world might be a better place. Maybe we can just sick this wood bot on him? That’d be scary to wake up to in bed.
