Lovers of newsmagazines and mustaches rejoice: John Stossel, known for his work as former co-anchor of ABC's primetime 20/20 news program, was announced Tuesday as the College Republicans' spring speaker.

Stossel, who currently hosts a self-titled talk show on the Fox Business Network, will deliver his speech May 24 at 8 p.m. in Leverone Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

"NUCR is excited to add Stossel’s speech on 'Freedom and Its Enemies' to their continuing tradition of bringing diverse opinions and ideas that may otherwise go unheard to the campus dialogue," College Republicans said in a press release.

Stossel's appearance will round out this year's NUCR speaker series that's included former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who told Northwestern that student activists are "wasting their time," and Katie Pavlich, the conservative journalist who argued against microagressions and trigger warnings in her speech at Northwestern.
