Unknown painters left the Rock bright purple on this gray, rainy day. Barely visible were the Greek letters Sigma Nu, the name of a former Northwestern fraternity that closed in 2004. The Sigma Nu house still stands on North campus, maybe the ghosts of the Sigma Nu painted today’s Rock. That or very proud alumni.
