“For now, my name is Cody Baker, but the world is going to change that on January 1, 2007.” It sounds like the intro to an awesome spy movie, but its really just a US Marine’s charity case blog. Baker is offering up his name to the highest bidder so he can get enough money to go back to college and help out an orphanage in Thailand. His noble (some might say foolish) gesture ends on New Year’s Eve. Leading the pack right now is cupojoeonline.com, with a $26,333.31 bid for the name “Finest Freshest Fastest.” Especially interesting is the page of phony offers- apparently Baker doesn’t think an expired phone card, a booger, expired milk, stale Doritos and a rotten apple constitutes a sufficient bid for the name “Moma Hooker.”
