Members of One Voice NU painted the Rock today to kickoff its kNOw Trafficking Campaign to fight against Human Trafficking. From the Facebook event page:
“Human Trafficking is modern day slavery. It is the exploitation of human beings – be it for sexual exploitation, other forms of forced labour, servitude, or for the removal of human organs. By the time the NU sophomore class graduates, human trafficking will be the number one largest criminal industry in the world.”
One Voice NU will be serving free hot chocolate at the Rock all day, and will sponsor a speaker today in the McCormick Tribune Center at 5 p.m.
