Northwestern football will be honoring the 1995 Rose Bowl team by wearing some 🔥🔥🔥 throwback jerseys in Saturday's homecoming game against Iowa.

The jerseys were unveiled at a special press conference held by Northwestern football at the Under Armour Brand House on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald said 75 players from that Big Ten Champion team (including himself) will be returning this weekend for a 20-year renunion.

"The throwback uniform with the new technology is pretty sweet," Fitzgerald said. "It's a great tribute to that team, and hopefully we can prepare and play with the vigor and passion that that team played with."

Fitzgerald also said former head coach Gary Barnett, who took an NU team that went 3-7-1 in 1994 to a 10-2 mark in 1995, has been named the team's honorary captain for the week and will address the players on Friday.

On top of the typical Homecoming festivities, there will be a pep rally back at the Brand House on Thursday evening featuring appearances from ESPN personality Mike Wilbon (BSJ '80), star runningback of the '95 Rose Bowl team Darnell Autry and the NU Marching Band. Autry is this year's Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal.
