Northwestern looks to win its first bowl game since the 1948 season today when it takes on the Texas A&M Aggies in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas. It's the fourth straight year appearing in a bowl game for the Wildcats, and this year's class of seniors - statistically the most successful class in Northwestern football history - looks to cap its stellar run in Evanston with a bowl victory. Meanwhile, they will face a talented Texas A&M team that disappointed this season. The Aggies, also 6-6, fired their head coach Mike Sherman following the regular season.
