This Saturday, both of Northwestern's swimming and diving teams faced off against Iowa at the Norris Aquatics Center. Currently 8-2, and 2-1 in Big Ten competition, the women’s team defeated Iowa 190.5 to 109.5. With three Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, Weinberg freshman Olivia Rosendahl broke a pool record with her first place score of 317.63 in the one meter diving competition. Rosendahl also placed first in the three meter competition. The Wildcats took home first place finishes in 10 swimming events, including a 400 yard freestyle relay that narrowly beat Iowa by 0.73 seconds. Meanwhile, the men’s team lost 125.5 to 174.5.

Both teams will host their last home meet of the season versus Minnesota and Purdue this weekend before competing in the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor next month.
