According to a survey done by Mindset Media, Apple computer users find themselves “more liberal, less modest, and more assured of their own superiority than the population at large.” While probably true, the study was conducted on people attending Macworld 2008, the biggest, Apple-centric conference on the planet. I’d say that’s akin to asking a theatre major how much they love musical theatre while they sit on Broadway watching Idina Menzel belt the lyrics to “Defying Gravity.” “Oh my perfect pitch, she’s such a goddess!”
Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me,” said jokingly that “the only kind of person more smug and self-satisfied than a Mac user is a Mac user who supports Barack Obama.” Too soon?
